Our Commitment to Service

We provide a very detailed oriented service by first removing debris and unsellable items. We then clean all items to be sold and create unique displays highlighting more desirable items and creating an overall feel for the household, which in return brings more value to your estate. We ensure the home is well lit with LED lighting for both safety and marketing purposes, we play appropriate wireless music during our sales to enhance the atmosphere for customers. We wrap and bag all purchases for our customers and assist with moving and loading large items. We always keep safety in mind as we set up ensuring walkways are clear and stairs and thresholds are highlighted with blue tape. While all households are different, we give the same amount of effort in our marketing displays depending on the items we have to work with. It is our belief that you should always do the very best at whatever you do or just don’t do it at all, and it is with that belief that we prepare for and accomplish your sale. We treat all your belongings with compassion and respect, which are the leading core values of our company.
  • Organization
We will organize, arrange and display all items to be sold. We will use available tables, shelves, and similar areas for display purposes and we will provide additional tables, shelves and display cases as necessary. We will display and arrange all items in an organized professional manner using table clothes and spot table lighting on collectible items. We will also clean the area where the sale is to be conducted, gather and dispose of items that cannot be sold and clean all items and furniture if necessary. We will rearrange furnishings and household items to create an upscale shopping experience.
  • Pricing
We will research and appraise all items to be sold and will mark prices on them using our signature price stickers, tags or signs that we will provide. We will add item descriptions on the tag when appropriate to make people aware of items significance. We welcome your input regarding the value of specific items; however, given our substantial experience we typically know what the current market value is for most household items and collectibles. We keep up on the ever-changing resale market values and item popularity.
  • Advertising
We will arrange for appropriate advertisements regarding the sale. We will place ads on Estate Sales.net, Craigslist, and our Website. Our on line advertisement is done in a very professional manner with hundreds of high-quality photos and listings of where items location is in the home. In addition, we will place our large Dejavu advertising flag in the yard during the sale, and additional professional signs in the vicinity of the sale if permitted. We will check with your local city or county for any ordinances’ regarding the placement of signs and get any permits required.
  • Conducting of Sale

We will conduct the sale in a professional and efficient manner. To assist with the sale, we staff with as many individuals as we believe are reasonably necessary. Our well-trained staff provide excellent customer service while assisting customers and keeping the household safe.

We will conduct the sale with two objectives:
A. To sell every available item, and
B. To maximize the proceeds from the sale.

During the course of the sale, we may negotiate prices with customers and accept bids as we consider appropriate in order to achieve the two objectives stated above.
On the second day of the sale we will reduce the prices of the items being sold by 50% at the opening of the sale. This is customary in our industry and helps in liquidating remining everyday household items.

  • Security

We will take all reasonable steps to guard against theft, for example by stationing personnel near small, high-value items. We will limit the number of customers at peak opening time. We will provide an adequate number of personal to work the sale.

  • Disposal of Unsold Items
There will be unsold items at the conclusion of the sale. We will be glad to box up those items for you and leave in the room that they are located. We will not be responsible for cleaning the premises after the sale unless special arrangements have been made and a cost has been agreed upon for that service.
  • Records and Receipts of Payment
Within 1 business days after the conclusion of the sale we will make available to you a statement of sales results showing the gross sales, the fees and expenses deducted, and the net proceeds distributable to you. Within 3 business days we will mail a check to you in the full amount of the net proceeds.
  • Fees and Expenses
Our fee for providing the services discussed is a percentage of gross sales. We do require a minimum commission and will be happy to discuss our fee during your site visit. All fees are deducted from your sale proceeds so there are no upfront costs to you. Our commission is payable on all items we have been told will be in the sale, at the time the contract is signed. Because our planning and preparations for the sale have been made based on the quantity and quality of the items being sold, we discourage the removal of items, without prior agreement. We charge a flat fee of 50.00 for online advertisement.
  • Other Matters

You are, of course, welcome to check in while we set up, organize, and mark items. We do request keys to the property so that work can be done in a timely manner and there are no schedule conflicts. It has been our experience, however, that attending the sale may be difficult if the items being sold are of sentimental value to you so we do ask that you are not present during the actual sale days. It is important to us that you be happy with our service. Above all, we recognize that in entrusting your sale to us, you are relying on our honesty and integrity. If you ever have any questions or concerns in that regard, please let us know. We have found that in almost all cases, potential problems can be avoided if we simply communicate with each other.

In addition, we recognize that every sale is different, and we will make every effort to be flexible, to be fair, reasonable and understanding, and to work within your schedule. We trust that you will do the same.
